About the Cambodian Children's Fund

Using education, training, healthcare and
community work to break generational
cycles of poverty and abuse.

Founded in 2003 by Scott Neeson, The
Cambodian Children's Fund is dedicated
to helping Cambodia's poorest, most
undereducated and most vulnerable
children.

Our program offers protection,
comprehensive healthcare, education and
vocational training to over 260 children of
whom 150 are full-time residents in our
facilities. The majority of our children
come from Steung Meanchey, Phnom
Penh's notorious garbage dump, where
they work picking through garbage for
recyclable items to sell. With no schooling,
no healthcare and no access to basic
public services, these children live in
appalling living conditions and have little
hope of escaping a life of destitution.

Cambodia Challenge
I have committed to the challenge of raising $20,000.00
for the Cambodian Children's Fund by Dec 31, 2008.

My intention in raising this money is to make a
difference in the lives of the children of Cambodia.  I
also want to raise awareness in my community about the
possibilities of service.

I believe that you have a chance everyday; every
moment of everyday to make a difference in the world.
This is my chance.

The journey to Cambodia is going to be life altering as I
am sure the journey to raising the funds will be.  I have
decided to keep a journal documenting the year (online
so I can post from anywhere and so you can check in
and see how I am doing)

Thank you for your interest and support.

Much Love,

Davian
