Seva Challenge 2009 - Uganda
About the Seva Challenge - Uganda:
The war in Northern Uganda has been called the most neglected humanitarian emergency in the world
today. For the past 23 years, the Lord’s Resistance Army and the government of Uganda have been waging a
war that has left nearly two million innocent civilians displaced. Millions of children have been orphaned by
AIDS and thousands of women die annually in childbirth. An entire generation has never know peace...
OTM is committed to continuing their work to support cultures and communities where basic human needs are
at risk and to offering their hearts, hands and resources in joyful and practical service.
We will be building a 7-room school in a rural area and a 100% green birthing centre for HIV+ women;
supporting an orphanage for HIV+ children and implementing rehabilitation programs for former child soldiers.
A portion of the funds will help bring yoga to at-risk youth in our local community.

Raising $20,000 to benefit the organizations who are
on the ground doing the work, every single day is a
gift of an opportunity.
Being able to use my love and passion for yoga to
affect positive change in the world and in my local
community is like watching the most important parts
of my life intersect.
Peace and Love,
